Cara Wood Harris (she/her)
We are pleased to present our final Welcome Home event: Fat in the Wild.
Behind their landscapes, the photos in the Welcome Home gallery tell the story of a journey to become comfortable in outdoor spaces. It is only fitting that the show closes with a visit from a true trail blazer, Andrea DiMaio (she/they), owner of Ample Movement and international hiking guide. Andrea will share their presentation Fat and in the Wild, followed by a panel discussion with Rochester community leader and educator Jenna Weintraub (she/they) and artist in residence Cara Wood Harris (she/her). Visit the gallery before an afternoon break, followed by a guided nature hike.
Tickets are available at the link below and are pay-what-you-can, with a suggested donation of $20-40 for both parts of the event, or $10-20 for just the morning panel or afternoon guided hike. See detailed event information below.

Andrea will begin our talk by sharing Fat and In the Wild, their presentation originally shared at Seattle Fat Con in January 2024. A make-your-own trail mix station will be available, make a bag for our hike later! To reduce waste, please consider bringing a reusable bag/container - we will have paper bags available.
